These valentines use dot markers or other paints to reveal secret hidden messages that you write for your child!

Hidden Message Valentines – Get ready for a magical way to say I Love You!

These Do-A-Dot printables reveal a secret message when completed by your child that will add something special to your valentine.

Dot markers seem like they would be so much fun. I was a bit surprised when my 4 year old didn’t seem too interested in them. But to her credit, I’d given her some simple dot-the-circle coloring type pages and she got bored pretty quickly.  I started wondering if there was any way to make this more exciting for her. After all, I like using the dot markers!

So while on the hunt for some more engaging and educational Dot Marker printables for my PK1 Printables ParadeI had a brilliant idea and excitedly reached for my kid’s basket of crayons.

It was then that I discovered that dot markers can be used to reveal invisible drawings written in white crayon.

Well I just had to do something super fun with this discovery! This idea is so universal and adds mystery and excitement to dot marker activities. You can add numbers, letters, even sight words to all sorts of do-a-dot printables and instantly have an educational and super fun lesson. Count the number of 3’s that magically appear, see if you can find the word “why” by stamping all the dots. Which circles will reveal triangles in them?

Since Valentine’s Day will be here before you know it, I made a couple of Dot Marker Hidden Message Valentine printables that I really think you and your child will love. You could also use the frog printable for educational activities like the ones I just mentioned.
