Do Your Kids Make New Year’s Resolutions?
Celebrating the New Year is always a fun way to end the year and begin again. Out with the old, in with the new! We love watching the ball drop and popping some sparkling apple cider and making some noise. And the great thing is since we live in California we can ring in the New Year at 9pm watching the New York ball drop and then get to bed early! Yes, I’m THAT old! 🙂
Some years we’ve done some fun activities like make a time capsule and bury it in the yard somewhere. We also like to make some fun party hats, too. But sometimes this momma is super tired and out of energy. I don’t want to be a grump and not celebrate at all. That’s why I love having simple activities like this free printable New Year’s Resolutions worksheet that are zero prep.
Why New Year’s Resolutions Are Good For Kids
New Year’s Resolutions help kids look inward and begin to analyze their own achievements and goals. Being able to decide on certain things they want to get better at, to learn, or do less of, are all great goals to make for the New Year. This is a great exercise to help your kids begin looking at improving their own lives instead of feeling like they have no control over how things are going.
