Hi friends – I’m working on creating a series of basic printables that are good to have on hand for homeschooling our kiddos. This file is a simple basic printable that’s always helpful to have.

Use these free editable sentence strips to help your kids practice handwriting. I’ve made them as editable PDFs so you can open them, add your text, and print – no fuss. 

One trick I used often with my littles was to use a light colored gray or yellow font to print very large words. This helped them trace the letters without anxiety. Sometimes adding little dots with a pen can help them even more by figuring out where to start with each letter. I’ve included both gray and yellow font versions. 

I also used the Comic Sans font for two reasons. First, it is a common font on both windows and mac/apple computers. Secondly, it uses the single story “a” and handwriting “g” so it won’t be confusing for your kids. The height of the capital letters isn’t perfect, but I believe these will be a big help to you for handwriting practice.

You can use these prints as full worksheets, but I recommend cutting them into strips for younger kids.
