A fun, low prep 4th of July treat the kids can make themselves. Low sugar but high kid appeal! Add some fun cupcake toppers for a special treat for any 4th of July party.
An easy dessert your kids can make for a 4th of July party.
I love all the beautiful 4th of July desserts you can find online – inspiration abounds with a quick online search. But this busy momma gets major FOMO looking at the delectible 4th of July themed cakes, cupcakes, and various patriotic desserts that I know I’ll just never have the time to make.
I’ve also loved letting my kids make the big dessert, but this can bring mixed results! Well, here’s an easy and eye-catching dessert that’s perfect for 4th of July. It’s quick to put together, and so easy your kids can make it!
Easy jello cups with whipped cream & sprinkles
Simply remove the top from a jello cup, top with whipped cream and add some sprinkles. Use patriotic colors and this becomes a great simple and easy 4th of July dessert you’ll want to bring back year after year! You can also make this a low sugar 4th of July dessert by using sugar free jello.
For extra fun, print out these 4th of July cupcake toppers
For more fun, add some cupcake toppers. You can print these and use a 2″ punch (or 1″ for the minis) to cut out the circles. Then you can tape them to toothpicks to add to the cups for some quick and easy decorations.
You can also do what I did and tape them to the ends of spoons for an easy grab and go 4th of July dessert!
