FREE Printable Cue Cards For Skip Counting & Multiplication Tables

My daughter struggles with remembering her simpler math facts (as do I, that’s where she gets it!)  This weekend I was helping out in the nursery at church when one of the kids wanted to sing “Jingle Bells.” A veteran homeschool mom was working with us and casually mentioned that you can use that song to teach skip counting by 3s. My ears perked up, because I knew it would help my daughter. Of course I googled it as soon as I got home and found this link that had the songs she was referring to. I was totally jazzed!

The way my memory is there’s no way I could learn these quick enough to teach them to my kids. I thought it would be good to make some cue cards with the numbers in big bold print as a reminder of the song to sing. I could clip them to our easel and go over one a day during our circle time. We did the 3s today and my girls loved it. In fact, we practiced the Jingle Bells song all day long and they’ve pretty much got it nailed down. 🙂

I wanted to post this in case anyone else would find it useful. I formatted it so that if you have a printer like mine you should be able to cut it just once down the middle and have equally sized and bordered cards. I hope it works out that way for you!

Please enjoy this free printable. If you like it, I hope you’ll be kind enough to share it and help me grow my website.

Thanks so much for visiting! Have a wonderful day!

With love,

P.S. A fun activity we used with these cards: We marched around the room in a line singing the song. The person in front was the leader and carried the card. Each time we repeated the song, the leader handed the card to the person behind her and jumped to the back of the line. It was super fun, and gave the kids a chance to practice with and without seeing the card. Try it out and let me know if your kids had fun with it!
